University of Colorado Football Sex Scandal Update: Report Says Sex, Drugs and Alcohol Used to Recruit Players, No Mention of Rock and Roll - A panel appointed by the school to investigate nine allegations of sexual abuse at recruiting parties submitted their official report Tuesday, pretty much confirming what everyone already knew, while criticizing school officials from the president on down for failing to monitor the situation. Head coach Gary "And She Was a Terrible Football Player' Barnett was put on administrative leave while the panel reviewed the culture at the Boulder, Colorado school.

#116! A football and soccer coach in his first year at Pearland High School in Texas is accused of sexual misconduct with a 16-year-old female student. Timothy Locklear, who was also recently married, was suspended back in February when police started their investigation. The local TV station interviewed several students who seemed pretty upset by the incident, saying "That's like, that's a teacher and that's a student. I mean, I don't know what worse could happen." 

Mascot Madness: Ice Hockey Mascot Arrested for Armed Robbery - Yes, it's a disguise, but do you really think no one would recognize you? Police have charged Jesse Cartlidge, who had a part time job as "Clash," the mascot for the Trenton Titans ice hockey team for his alleged role in an armed home invasion and robbery of a woman in Levittown, Pa. And, no he didn't have his costume on at the time of the crime, but he did have it in his trunk which he showed to the cops when they tried to arrest him.

Cheerleading Coach Accused of Giving Squad Fake Second Place Trophies - A cheerleading coach who was given the boot from San Leandro High School in California last year after being accused by parents of misusing money paid to her for cheerleader uniforms is apparently at it again. After leaving the school, Phyllis Renee Graham founded a private cheerleading academy called Extreme Elite All-Stars. Despite the well publicized problems at San Leandro, parents still sent their girls to this coach, but now are suspicious of her after a recent competition. Graham allegedly presented the girls trophies after a National Cheerleader Association event, telling them they had finished in second place. Concerned parents called the NCA and found out that not only had the girls not finished second, they missed the real dance-pom competition altogether and the uninscribed trophies were given to the squad for simply participating.

College Golfers Taken for Wild Drunken Ride . . . by Their Coach! - Golfers for the University of Utah claim their coach "endangered their lives" and should not have driven the team van to an away match after he had been drinking.  Said one player, "We sat on the edge of our seats for four hours." The coach, Wayne Fisher, signed a statement that any behavior resembling what the golfers alleged would be grounds for termination in the future, while strongly disputing their account of his condition. Dumbasses of the Week: HS Baseball Players Play "Prank" on Coach, Throw Gallon Paint Can Through Front Window of His House - If stupidity were an Olympic sport, American teenagers would take the gold medal in every event. Take these seven former baseball players from Newton High School in Kansas. One night last December they decided to play a little prank on their coach, Steve Bacon, by dumping paint on his front porch. For good measure, one of them decided to throw a gallon can of paint through his front window, which also happened to be where the coach's 1-year-old daughter was sleeping. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but some of the boys face charges of felony criminal damage to property, conspiracy to commit felony criminal damage to property and attempted aggravated battery.

Soccer Fans Threaten Opposing Team With Guns - You gotta give it to those European soccer fans; they know how to support their teams. Like the home town fans for the team from Bremen, Germany who stormed the field after a disputed ref's call (what else?) carrying guns and attacked visiting players. A 21-year-old man had to be taken to hospital after he was beaten around the head with a corner flag. (Thanks to Fark.com for the link!)

#114! 14-year-old girl claims HS gym teacher pinned her against a wall in the school gymnasium and touched her crotch area. Based on her accusations and those of a second HS girl, a judge has ordered 33-year-old Croswell-Lexington High School gym teacher Brian Zangara to face trial in Sanilac County Circuit Court in Michigan on two counts of criminal sexual conduct.
#113! Former HS track coach goes the distance, pleads no contest to 55 charges that he took nude photographs of 10 teenage girls he coached. Damian Patrick Barker, 37, who coached track locally at Jefferson High School was convicted of 11 counts of sexual battery and 44 counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented performance. The maximum prison term Barker could get would be 342 years . . . if sentences for each charge were served consecutively. His attorney says he'll get him out in half that time. (Sorry, I added that last line myself . . . old joke.)

Assistant Football Coach for Butler University Arrested When Cops Raid Crack House in Gary, IN - Jimmy Graves, 41, a Butler University assistant football coach, has been suspended after being arrested in his former hometown of Gary on a cocaine possession charge. According to police who raided suspected dope house, "We didn't know he was going to be there."

Dad Attacks Umpire After Daughter Ejected From Softball Game - Mark Riley of Naperville, IL is accused of confronting a 17-year-old umpire who officiated a freshman softball game between West Chicago and the Naperville Central team his daughter plays for. The teen claims that after Riley's daughter was ejected from the game for wearing a hair band on her wrist, the man shouted at him, threatened him and jabbed him in the chest with his finger.
